Madeline Portrait

This is a closeup of a painting I did of my daughter when she was 10. Using acrllyics, I painted over a polyurethane base. This was an interesting challenge, the results is a very "chalk-like" feel to the paint.

Black and White Choctaw

I've been working on a variety of projects over the last few months. This is a starving and recently rescued Choctaw. I painted it in black and white to really bring out the exposed ribs and panicked look he seems to be giving. I still feel like it needs work. This is oils, apprx. 26/30".
